New Sidewalk Repair Efforts for the City of LA

The City of LA now offers rebates up to $10,000 to homeowners for sidewalk repairs and up to $1000 for tree removal. The new rebates took effect on August 1, 2017.

Requests for participation in the Rebate Program are processed via the MyLA311 website,  Requests may also be received by calling the City’s MyLA311 operator, or at any of the Bureau of Engineering District Offices and Council Offices.

Rebates are calculated based on the amount of sidewalk adjacent to the property that is in need of repair. A trained City representative will visit the eligible site to determine which elements of the sidewalk are in need of repair and the cost to bring it into compliance with City requirements. The rebate offer will be approximately half of the estimated cost to repair, up to a cap of $10,000 per Lot for residential and commercial properties.
